CAPPADOCIA CAVE SUITES HOTEL
A visit to Cappadocia would not be complete without staying at one of its famous fairy chimney hotels. So, we stayed in one of these cave hotels in Cappadocia. Actually the hotel's name is pretty self explanatory; Cappadocia Cave Suites. This authentic Cappadocia hotel is the only one that consists of traditional Cappadocia houses and cave dwellings within three different fairy chimneys. A fairy-tale begins as soon as you step through the hotel's doors, the passageways between the fairy chimneys and the ancient chapel mesmerizes you while the terraces overlooking Cappadocia can surprise you at any moment.

THE LOBBY AND THE GARDEN
Once you step in the hotel, you feel like you're in a different world. There are several lounges in different terraces and they're like an oasis (especially if you're here in the summer). It was nice to sit on these sofas to have our Turkish Coffee and spend some time watching the lovely view of Cappadocia.
Lobby area was quite small but there were big sofas just outside it to wait for your airport shuttle service or hot air balloon shuttle service. It is also a good place to socialize with other guests.
The authentic decorations of the terraces provides you instagram worthy spots for Cappadocia. A slowly cooked Turkish Coffee is a plus :D
On the first day of our Cappadocia trip, we left our bags and hurried to the hill just behind our hotel, that is called Lover's Hill Cappadocia. This place is one of the best sunset points in Cappadocia. You can watch here world-renowned sunset of Göreme with hot air balloons floating over.
The sunset and the balloons were amazing but the following day we noticed that our hotel's terraces offer the same Cappadocia view with a plus; it was almost exclusive for us.

THE ROOM
There are 36 rooms in two different types; deluxe ve suits. The suits have a room and a bedroom. We stayed in the Fairy Chimney Suite 1 type room and it was quite authentic and comfortable.
These cave rooms are naturally cool despite of the hot weather of Central Anatolian region. If you'll stay here in winter, there are actual fireplaces in the rooms.
There were stone carvings on the walls and the room was decorated with some local details. The bedroom was one step higher than the living room.
There were two arches between the living room and the bedroom and it was so cool like some medieval castles in the TV series. The bed was large and super comfy.
There was a little kitchenette in our room. (I don't know if there are any in deluxe rooms) but there is a mini fridge, an electric kettle, Nespresso machine and complimentary coffee and tea in every room. We were very happy since quality coffee and tea is an important part of our trips especially after intense day tours in Cappadocia.
The bathroom was quite big. There were a bathtub and a shower separately. The mirrors were well illuminated letting the ladies have a great make up in the bathroom and there were a good selection of freebies.
Wifi speed was quite good since there were two different wifi networks in the hotel; one for the rooms and one for the common areas. Since we're working, traveling and blogging at the same time, a fast internet connection was a good plus for us.
Additionally there was a large working desk but we prefer divan (a traditional sofa) to work on as always. But if you just prefer to laze around, a big screen plasma TV with both local and international channels await you.

We stayed in the Room 211. Although it was designed as a cave, it was quite bright due to it's huge glass doors. We were happy about it since we always prefer daylight. (The light is not disturbing in the morning since the doors are not so close to the bed.)
BREAKFAST
When we stayed in the hotel (pre-covid) there was buffet breakfast. Selection of more than ten different variety of cheeses was great.
As you know, breakfast is very important for Turkish people and for us the most important elements of the breakfast is cheese and a glass of well brewed Turkish black tea.
We believe the breakfast will still be ok but you'll need to check it from the hotel management.

DINNER
We mostly prefer outside restaurants to feel the local vibes but this time we were so tired after a hot air balloon ride and tried the hotel's restaurant called The Cave Restaurant. We ate baked chicken and rice but 8 different mezes were served complimentary. (If you didn't experience it before, most restaurants in Turkey serve small dishes or sometimes only a small salad before your actual order and a glass of black tea after your meal, for free.) The chicken was juicy and the mezes were great but the baked fig with walnuts which was served as dessert was the best of all.
LOCATION
Cappadocia Cave Suites is located in the center of Göreme Town. It is a cave hotel which is very convenient and within close proximity of major attractions in Cappadocia. Additionally you can walk to Göreme Open Air Museum and the renowned Cappadocia Lover's Hill from here.

FINAL WORDS
Sleeping in a cave hotel in Cappadocia inside ancient geographical formations was a great experience. Knowing that different people in different ages lived between these walls made us excited. Actually not only people of ancient civilizations, even Malaysian King (actually Sultan :D) stayed here. The staff made us feel at home. It was super clean and tidy. The food was pretty tasty. We're happy that we had this opportunity to stay in fairy chimney hotel in Goreme.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, but you can always check all hotels to stay in Cappadocia from this link.
